Ever feel like the ground you walk on is riddled with mines and quick sand? And, the next step could be your last. In the last few years, I've completely turned my life upside down. And it seems that life has completely turned me upside down. I've divorced my husband, lived in a 500 square foot apartment with seven cats, bought a house, weathered the storm that is my job for 9 years, met a man that loves me with all his soul and just happens to be 7 years my junior (oh, and lives on the other side of the continent), flooded my new house and replaced all of the flooring, smiled a million times, cried just as many times, discovered my sexuality along the way, made friends, lost friends, contemplated motherhood, counted my failures, daydreamed of my sucesses to come, sprouted gray hair, moisturized a few wrinkles and count myself lucky.

Life is so hard, even when it is easy. Forge ahead and don't look back too long. You might miss something. Take the good with the bad. Try new things. A few years later, try them again. Re-invent yourself just for the fun of it. Never let someone else tell you who or what you are. Rebel against self-doubt. For an hour each day, act like a child and see how the world looks through their eyes. Love. Hate. Kick, scream and throw things. Above all else, LIVE.
